OUR WORK

hi...
last year during the same time i was one of the student committee members of the annual college magazine of SVIT, Vasad.(thats MY college...)
the magazine demanded a lot of woking hours and effort from our side... we had to run department to department for details... from student to student for their articles... believe me that was the most demanding part of the whole making of the mag...
finally during the end of the semester we recieved the hard copy of the magazine and to be very frank, i was not to happy with it...
it had many mistakes and a lot of them were obvious to everyone.. but then our work was appericiated...
but today when i was just surfing through the college site, i found an amazing link which read "annual college magazine"
i opened the link and was pleasanty surprized to see the version of the college magazine we worked on...
almost no mistakes and the prettier version of it.. :)
i was so so so happy to see that...
it feels nice when ur true work is put in front of people and then u get appericated for it...

GOD SAYS…”GOOD MORNING”

As you got up this morning, I watched you and hoped you would talk to me, even if it were a few words, asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life-but I noticed you were too busy trying to find the right outfit to put on and wear to work. I waited again. When you ran around the house getting ready I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy.
At one point you had to wait for fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. Then I saw you spring to your feet. I thought you wanted to talk to me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip.
I watched as you went to work and I waited patiently all day long. With all your activities I guess you were too busy to day anything to me. I noticed that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me, that is why you didn’t bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn’t. That’s okay.
There is still more time left, and I have hoped that you will talk to me. Yet you went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done, you turned on the TV. I don’t know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it, not thinking about anything-just enjoying the show. I waited patiently again ass you watched the TV and ate your meal but again you didn’t talk to me.
Bedtime, I guess you felt too tried. After you said goodnight to you family, you plopped into bed and felt asleep in no time. That’s okay because you may not realize that I am always there with you. I have got patience more than you will ever know. I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well. I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, prayer or thought or a thankful part of you heart. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation. Well, you are getting up again and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you hoping that today you will give me some time…. Have a nice day!!!

THE HOPE PART 2

Hi again…
Yesterday I was praying for a “better tomorrow” and today I know what the phrase means!!!

Today morning I went to the doctor to take the bandages off my nose… I wasn’t sure of what was going to happen but was prepared for the worst.(in this case, one more day of carrying the bandage around!!)
Fortunately, the worst didn’t come. The doc came, took me to the OT and removed my bandages.

And for the first time in my existence, I could breath through my left nostril.
Yeah, it might look small to all u guys. But I got something I never had before. I still remember the first breath I took. There were tears in both my eyes. It actually took me an hour to let the feeling sink in. the feeling that I could breath through my left nostril.
Today was another lesson for me.
We have a strange habit of ignoring the amazing wonders around us… our eye sight, our listening capabilities, the air that we breath in…. they are so minor to us… but ask a blind person the value of seeing a flower, ask a deaf the value of listening a bird sing… he will tell u how fortunate U are!!!
I thank God that I am now alright and I can breathe, and request you to take sometime out and thank Him, for what all he has given u, and in return he asked for nothing at all!!!

THE HOPE.

Hi…
Sorry for not writing for so many day…
Actually was not well since the past two weeks..
After a awesome dance party I was having breathing problems and doctors said that it was sinusitis… caused due to the complete blockage of left nostril…bone deviation they told me…

The only option they gave was a surgery and one that was to be undergone as soon as possible, otherwise complications would increase.
So I had the surgery on 21st Feb 2006. It was a two-hour ordeal and then bandage that would block my nose form 48 hour.
Right now, I have the bandages on, I breath through my mouth, eating and drinking water is a major task now…
So why do I walk through all this pain.. because I know that TOMORROW THINGS WILL CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

Was just lying around and thinking… isn’t this the same reason n people strive, the same reason people go to work everyday, the same reason middle class wives wake up every morning to cook food and do everyday work. A simple hope. A hope that things will get better tomorrow.

Nobody knows what the future hold for us. I don’t know what I will be doing two hours from now. The future is totally unpredictable. The reason I walk this faint line of uncertainty is the hope that things will be better tomorrow.

This surgery was very tough on me. But I learned a pretty valuable lesson from it. Tomorrow, when the bandages will come out, I will be breathing through both my nostrils first time in twenty years of my existence. J . Two days of total and pain and exhaustion will end in happiness and a free breath. I learned that whatever happens, happens for the hope of a better tomorrow.

The biggest fears…

It is said that the hardest thing to do is to admit that you are afraid of something… it is also said that once the fear is dealt with it, wont haunt you anymore….so here is one of my hardest confessions…

People are afraid of very strange things… bugs, darkness, ghosts, insects, lightning, marriage, sunlight (strange!!!! But true, its called heliophobia!!) Apart from the All Mighty, my biggest fear happens to be “quicksand”. No, not the real one! The abstract one.

Quicksand is actually a situation, a real messy one. The harder you struggle to come out of it, the deeper you sink in. the harder you pray for the things to be ok, the worse the situation gets. Nothing turns out to be ok.. Its really worse than being in a room full of poisonous snakes…because, with snakes u know it will end sometime… but this never ends… you go deeper and deeper in…until u cant breath…and that might not be the end to it…

Sounds awful and it actually is… I have been there and I dread it… things got so complicated and messed up... then there was a light at the end of the long dark tunnel and I got out of it… it only left memories, loss (of something truly valuable to me) and fear…
A fear I want to loose.

We all have those fears, strange ones and the only way to get rid of them it to confess them. Believe me, its not that easy. But its worth a shot. May be when u face ur worse fear they wont seem that dreadful. You would realize that fear is just a state mind. Its just a limit that ur mind has set for u and its completely unreal.

Live each day to push those limits a notch further and then u will realize the true meaning of a happy and a fearless life…

The Home Going

Today I was watching an interview of former president of United States of America, Bill Clinton. He talked about the book he wrote... Titled “my life”. Its an autobiography of the President. But what impressed me most was the thought that ended the book. Clinton wrote that funerals are sometimes called the Home Going. We all have to go Home. And when his time comes he wants to be ready.

The thought that he put in such simple words made me think. Will I ever be ready to go Home. There are so many things that I want to do before I am actually ready for it. There are so many words unsaid, so many feelings unexpressed, so many deeds undone.
And the worst part of it is that I don’t know what time I will be going. Hell, I don’t know what will happen the next hour, how is anyone suppose to predict what is going to happen five to ten years from now…

That fact remains true for all of us… we cant stop living the present thinking of what happened in the past or wondering what bestows upon us…

as it is very often said THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

I would compare my life to a long winding mountain road. The journey itself is as beautiful as the destination. There are many turns.. predictable and blind turns.. there are many ups and downs.. all leading me to that unknown destination….i have met so many fiends on that way.. some are still with me and some left behind…but Past has thought me to cherish every moment of the present and to smile on it when that time flies by…
So I enjoy the journey that I started knowing that the best is yet to come…

We wait for the right opportunity for doing what we always wanted to do... Failing to understand that the true opportunity was when our heart desired to do it…
If you want to say something to some one really special to u… just go ahead and do it. Don’t wait for the “right moment” to come. Because it will go in an instant and you wont even realize what happened.If you want to do something special for yourself or someone else… just go ahead and do it… this may be the opportuned moment… don’t let it go…
Show them how special they really are to you… a simple “thank you” will help… let it be your good deed for the day….
